Classic homey beef lasagne
The lasagne everyone grew up with — rich beef mince, creamy white sauce, layers of pasta and melted cheese. Simple, hearty, and made with love.

- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 500 g beef mince
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes (400 g)
- 1 tsp mixed herbs
- 50 g butter
- 50 g flour
- 750 ml milk
- 200 g grated mozzarella
- 100 9 grated cheddar
- 250 g Serena lasagne sheets
Preheat oven to 180 °C.
Heat oil in a pan, fry onion and garlic until soft. Add beef mince and cook until browned. Stir in tomato paste, chopped tomatoes and herbs. Simmer for 15 minutes, season well.

Make a white sauce: melt butter, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk until smooth and thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
50 g butter, 50 g flour, 750 ml milk
In a baking dish, layer lasagne sheets, beef mince, white sauce and cheese. Repeat layers. Finish with white sauce and cheese on top.
Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and bubbling.
